New Marathon wells in sections 19 and 30, 6N5W

Marathon Oil has 5 wells in 19 and 4 in 30 that have not reported results. Does anyone know the status of the wells?

Michael:

I don’t think these wells have been drilled yet, but if you will give the well names (if you have them), we may be able to see if there is any production.

Marathon completed the Brand 1-30XH (sl in 30 BL 19) in 2015. It does have a completion report. There are the Brand 0605 2-18-30WXH, 3-18-30WXH and 4-18-30WXH. They were spud in late 2019 and early 2020. It usually takes four months or so to drill and complete a multi-section well. When there are more than one, it can take longer. Takes about four months after completion for the report to show up. GIven that oil prices dropped quite sharply in the time frame, it is possible they have not completed the wells and are waiting for more favorable prices.

The Dungan 5-30-31XHW was completed in late 2019 and does have a completion report. The Dungan 2-31-30XH, Dungan 2-31-30XHW and Dungan 4-31-30XHW have all been completed and have a completion report. They are by Continental.

Production can be found on the OTC Tax site. Type in the well names in the LeaseName box.

We have been receiving royalty payments from Brand 1-30XH for years with minor interruptions due to subsurface failures and/or market conditions. OTC site has no info yet. It may be too early.

It anyone on the forum lives close by to those wells, have you seen the big drilling rig (versus the spud rig), how long did it stay and have the frac trucks and crews moved in and then out?

They have spud the holes, but I don’t think they have drilled the wells yet.

Thanks. Their decision not to drill is not surprising considering market conditions.

The Brand #2-#5 wells have been drilled but not completed.
