It would be wise to get a good oil and gas attorney to look at any draft lease as those are rarely in the favor of the mineral owner and needs edits.
You really, really, really need to get an attorney. That signing bonus isn’t anything even remotely close to what our family has received when leasing the last three times. You also need to be clear about how that 14% royalty works. Is it net or will they be deducting expenses? Is this for rights to Marcellus AND Utica?
