I’m Richard and I am so green here I don’t know where to begin… I have so many questions I don’t k ow where to start. I will start with my family had been passed some mineral acreage in OK. I don’t know where to go to get info on this and I do know there is a well on one of the two sections ( or so I’m told) that we have… the well thats up and running now was put up without consent from the family (was a probate thing, just wrapped it all up in January) and now I’m wanting to find out what do I need to do so I can learn about this all. This is all taking place in Love county OK… I did call the county assessors office today but didn’t know what to ask. Guess my main question is, where would I want to start so I can find out info??

Condolences on the passing of family and welcome to the oil patch. There is a lot to learn. If you are just starting out, reading the Mineral Help tab at the top of the page will be a good primer.
Read the last year or so of comments in Love County. Read some of the more active topics regarding leasing, division orders, probate, etc. I am attaching a list of free websites where you can look up information for OK.
Mobley 1-21-28X33 in sec 21 XTO is the operator. You need to inform them of the probate so that you can get into pay status. Royalties should come in about April with a Division Order in about March. They will need your new contact information and proof of the probate. Make sure that the probate is filed in the with the county clerk in Love County. Depending upon where your acreage is in 21, you may also have the Jewell 2-21 with E2 Operating LLC. Both marked in yellow on the map. The other wells are older and finished.
The other well is the Whitmire 1-36H25X which has a surface location in section 35. It has been online since April 2016. And the Virginia 1-24H25X with a surface location in 24. Also XTO.
This was recorded in the land records. Your tasks include determining whether these are producing, if so to contact the operators to get into pay status. You should also have consider these in your estate plan especially with probate avoidance.

thank you for the info, I did reach out to XTO today and was told there is 14 active wells. I’m not sure if that is 100% right but I did get an email from them with all the info to get the ball rolling for my family.
how were you able to pull this info?? its the same as I got from the court… from my understanding, they are… I am so interested in all this. thank you for your reply!
Checked your name against the land records for the Section Township Range, it referenced the probate order. Public records can often be searched electronically.
