I am a mineral owner in Angelina County Texas. I am being paid on the production of two Gas wells, 3H and 4H as seen in the attachment. There are now two new wells, 5HB and 6HB, right next to the existing wells. One is DUC but the other is ready to produce. The 3 and 4H wells production has decreased significantly. Are they replacing the original or are these additional wells that I will begin to see payments on automatically? Thanks Aethon 5HB and 6HB GIS MAP.pdf (224.2 KB)
It is normal for horizontal production to decrease over time. Another possibility is that the current wells were temporarily shut in while the frack job was being done on the new wells. Time will tell. You should be getting a Division order several months after the new wells are completed. Don’t know about “replacing” as that depends upon which reservoir the wells are in, mechanical issues, drainage issues, etc.
