My sisters and I inherited mineral rights to 15 acres in Section 16, block D, L&SV Survey, Lubbock County. Can you direct us to sites that might have answers to our questions, or give us a general response (not legal advice, we understand) to our questions?
Questions:
1. How do we sell these rights, what is their value, and are there any buyers/pitfalls we should avoid?
2. What is the general value of the mineral lease and royalties per acre?
3. What lease terms should we include to protect ourselves? (We're worried that we might be liable for polluting someone's well or other unknown events.)
