Does anyone have any insights on this?
All of their activity this year has been in the next counties east, but almost zero in Reeves. As I have three tracts leased to them, I would sure like to know their intentions.

Stephen – reviewing RigData’s “West Texas” 4-27-11 weekly drilling report, I find Anadarko running 3 rigs in Loving out of 15 active and 2 of 27 in Ward.
For their size, Loving and Ward are very active, especially Ward. Energen reported recently they are having much better luck in Ward, east of the Pecos River than in Reeves (i.e., west of the river).
RigData’s “West Texas” report covers RRC Districts 7B, 7C, 8, 8A, 9 and 10, as well as southwestern New Mexico counties Chaves, Eddy and Lea.
FWIW, RigData reported 34 active rigs in Reeves, whereas Baker Hughes reported 41. Hope this helps. Later -- Buzz

I second that.
Still, I find it disconcerting that Anadarko is apparently not interested in spending drilling dollars in Reeves.
Looks like a bad month for permits.
Anyone concerned?
Wondering if there is a primary reason, such as the decline in oil prices or pipeline constraints?
I am comparing 05/01/2011-05/30/2011 to 05/01/2012-05/30/2012:
this time last year there where 43 permits, this year same time frame there are 39 permits
Of those permits - 25 were for the Wolfbone trend in 2011 and 24 for the Wolfbone trend in 2012
So it doesn't look like anything to be concerned with. But I agree that Reeves seems to have slow a bit.
Yes. The big boys are drilling to the east in Ward and Loving Counties. Probably just a blip…
Hello-I am new to this and am looking for direction/information on the drilling in Reeves County. My rather large family has leased sections x 2 currently and I would like to know how to find out information of these sections and the current status. Can anyone direct me? Many thanks, Barb
Barbara - Try this video tutorial on the Texas Rail Road GIS system You should be able to find your property and tell what is going on in the area after watching this - takes about 12 minutes of your time.
Hi Kreg-video was great.......have been able to get to the point of selecting the "id'd well and when clicking on it to check for drilling permits a yellow marker with spike like projections pops up with a red what looks like an exclimation point inside it....and I can't go any further...also clicked on other circles, both green and permitted and same thing happens...

your pop-up blocker might be tuned on within your web browser. I cant tell you how to turn it off because each browser is different - click on help within your web browser and search for "pop up blocker" -and turn it off. Sorry I cant help much more beyond that...
