I have 7 leases (19 horizontal wells) with XTO/Exxon that are in southern Midland county and cross over into Upton. For some reason we did not get any gas payments for Jan (Nov production) yet they reported about 285,000 total units for those leases to the RRC.
Has anyone experienced this on their Jan. 2023 check or know anything about why they are not paying Jan. gas $'s.
We have. Companies have a minimum royalty payment ceiling, say $30? So, if one’s royalty check is below the $30, they won’t cut a check until it meets or exceeds that royalties minimum payment amount. That might be one explanation… but other than that, I don’t know why.

Each company has a specific date by which oil and gas data has to be loaded to be on the monthly check. It is possible that the gas sales were not processed in time to be on the current check and so will be on the following month check. The departments which sends production volumes to RRC is different from department which posts revenue data to checks. Maybe a lot of people were on vacation in December and so posting was delayed. Or the purchaser was late providing the sales revenues to the operator.
