My family and I own the mineral rights to a part of section 69 in Reeves County. Noble Energy was managing that oil production, then sold to Chevron. As soon as Chevron took over, our royalty payments went down by about half. Last month we id not receive anything. How can I correct this situation? Do I need lawyer?
Lots of possible reasons. Horizontal wells have significant decline curves. Oil prices and gas prices declined after Chevron acquired Noble. Chevron may be deductions costs. There are several Section 69 in different blocks in Reeves County. If you identify the well, then you can get a better response.
