I own the property and mineral rights to a property where a well pad is located. There are 9 well heads on this pad. The maps that EQT gave me when they drilled has a shaded area following each well head and leg. From what i gather everyone in the shaded area is getting royalties, except me. I get paid for 3 wells at this time. I thought that the other wells were not in production. I received notice that they are drilling 8 more wells in the coming year. I called owner relations when i received the letter and ask if all 9 wells were online. I also looked up all the wells on the WVDEP website and all wells have been in production since 2021. I made a claim to EQT about if i should be getting paid for all wells. It has been 3 weeks and i haven’t heard anything. When I call, they say their looking into it. My question is, should i be getting paid for all 9 wells? They are on my property and on the maps, part of my 75 acres is shaded on every well. I hope that makes since, its alot to try to put into words. Thank you for any and all info.
It can take a few months to get requests answered. Send them a certified mail return receipt so that you have a paper trail of their receipt of your notice. Send them your outline of your property and the shaded area with the wells crossing it. You should get paid on wells that are perforated on acreage you own. If the surface location is on your property, you should have had a surface lease (if you own it) and a mineral lease. Send copies of those leases to them. Keep copies of everything that you send and the correspondence.
