My husband received an email from Cheyenne Oil Gas and Minerals LLC wanting him to sign a quit claim deed for possible mineral rights in Belmont County, OH. This is the second or third time they have contacted us. He had no idea about this, apparently his father inherited them from his father. The letter doesn’t say where the land is in Belmont County. Where/how can we search for the property?
My wife received a letter from a landman representing EQT regarding some inherited mineral rights she may have in Belmont Cty, along the Belmont-Centerville Road. He says he “just wants to talk”. Haven’t heard good things about EQT from Tyler County, WV folks, so we’re wondering what alternatives she and her siblings have. Her ownership is probably small < 1 acre, but who knows? It’s a very secretive process to an outsider.
more499,
Don’t hesitate to ask Cheyenne questions about your mineral interest. You might just get lucky when they answer them.
The deed that they want him to sign should have that information on it.
You could also do some courthouse research. You would be amazed what is available in public documents.
