I received a cold call from someone offering to purchase my inherited mineral rights in Caddo County, OK however, I have lost contact from the operator who was originally paying royalties. Apparently the operator has been changed several times in the last few years and my contact information lost. The royalties were insignificant and only quarterly. Does the cold call indicate activity and should I sell the mineral rights or keep them and get my contact info straightened out? The site is 3-11N-11W.
MIght be Staghorn Petroleum. Royalties may be paid by CVR Supply for oil or Southwest Energy for gas. Start with Staghorn.
Offers to buy often come before new drilling. Citizen Energy III LLC and Staghorn Energy have multi unit horizontal wells permits relativel close by, so someone may be making a land play.
