Oil drilling in this area

Hi,

Thanks to an estate probate to be finalized this Thursday (Nov. 21st), my family will inherit some mineral interest in the following section (below) of Tulare County–does anyone know if any drilling has (or might) be taking place there? I’m assuming not, since I heard sometime ago that it’s pretty much all rock, but I thought I’d check just to be sure:

An undivided interest in and to all of the oil, gas, and other minerals in and under and that may be produced from the following described lands situated in Tulare County, State of California, to-wit: the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section 8, Township 21 South, Range 23 West, including Parcels 200 050 005 and 200 050 006.

So far, there are only five dry holes in that township. One of them was a dry hole just over the edge of 8 into sec 16. Not looking too favorable.
