You better be very, very careful of who you use and how you do this. If you know the company or companies that you think owe you the money, contact them and get them to tell you what documents they will require. Then you can get this completed. You better look very closely at this!

I am doing exactly that. The company involved is EOG. Do you know them?
EOG is Enron Oil & Gas! Deal directly with their “in house” land department. You don’t need a landman. You try their main office and get them to connect you with the land department for the County your minerals are located. Get them to email you the information they are going to require you to have.
