Continuing the discussion from Jefferson County, IL Oil & Gas Discussion archives: I also have shares in 2 wells in Illinois. Olize company is the production company. I cannot get anyone in the company to talk to me. There is a gap of years we cannot account for on who the royalties were sent to 1989 to 1994. Found the Wills of my deceased grandfather and his second wife which states who should receive what. How do I find out where the money went and if it is true one of the wells quit producing.
One place to check might be the state treasurer’s office to see if missing funds are being held there.
The Illinois oil and gas division of the state probably has a listing of wells and a way to track any change in operator and which wells produced when. Maybe someone on the forum has a link to that site.
