Any activity in the above two Townships in Haskell Co., OK or in the bigger picture over entire county? Are there any deeper horizontal plays in this area like Woodford or Mississippian or other zones (or even increased density drilling in the Hartshorne Coal)? Yesterday I received a lease offer that was next to nothing in terms of bonus covering a section with an unplugged Hartshorne Coal well. New operator may be simply going back in to reactivate old well OR drilling additional Coal wells OR deeper, more prolific zones?? Any ideas about other possible zones or increased density in the area would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Last leasing in Haskell that I see was in late 2022. Most of them were in the Woodford play. Most over in 9N-22E. No active permits right now.
Thank you Martha. With no active permits, Haskell County is kinda slow. Those leases you refer to from late 2022 are 3 Townships east of me…were there any good Woodford wells (or other zones) made over in 9N-22E or surrounding area? Is the Woodford zone even over in my area in 8N/9N-19E? Wondering if there are any other productive zones in my area other than the Hartshorne Coal which is pretty low volume. Thanks!
The wells in 9N-22E are mostly vertical gas with varying horizons. None are stunning compared to the horizontal wells of the SCOOP and STACK to the west. You can look them up on the OCC well records site or the OTC site.
8N/9N-19E has Hartshorne, Hunton, Spiro and other zones.
Thank you Martha; you always have great posts!
