This company contacted me for permission to survey my land for a gas line. The papers sent with the permission slip state that they have the power of eminent domain. I do not have the mineral rights. My property is 84.819 acres, 3844 Block: PSL. S/84.819 AC of E/2 Section 12 in Reeves County. How much can I expect to receive from this eminent domain and will they take the entire property, or just a easement/right away?
The same happened to me in Section 4 where Regency Oil did a survey. but it is just a survey and they should not impact your property at all. After the survey they should likely contact you to purchase an easement if they are interested. They paid me $100/rod (a rod is 16feet in length) for an easement that is 50 ft wide down an edge of my property. I thought a nearby pipeline for resource transportation would be beneficial if someone ever wanted to drill on my property later. It is good to read up on surface rights from Texas A&M website and have a lawyer look at the easement paperwork if ONEOK wants to buy an easement.
