I am hoping that someone can help me. In the '80s my father lived in Chickasha Oklahoma for a year or two putting together parties for petroleum deals and taking a small ORRI for himself. He died suddenly and we found no records.
Does anyone know if there are websites that could help me search by his name?
I really have no idea where to start.

You can search for free on www.okcountyrecords.com for his name. However, the ORRI are not always posted as they were agreements with the operator and are tied to a lease which may have another person’s name.

Not sure what you mean about ORRIs being agreements with the Operator! Mine aren’t.
Probably should have said many ORRIs are with the operator and some are not. Most of ours were with the original operator.
To get more info on his actual wells you can check the OCC well data finder on the property it shows all of the information they have on the wells depth rock formations original production and more
