When the Operator/Purchaser changes on a lease in Texas, does the Purchaser have a responsibility to request the pay deck from the Operator?
I had this problem come up last year so I contacted the Purchaser and they said they couldn’t force the Operator to send it and wouldn’t even contact the Operator for the pay deck. I had to contact the Operator myself. The Operator finally sent the pay deck, but it wasn’t kept up to date, so now 5 months later the pay deck still isn’t corrected.
The Purchaser has been holding on to all of the royalty interest for almost 2 years.
