Any update on section 17 2N3W Garvin county? I saw Ovintiv was drilling.emphasized text

Are you referring to the Ovintiv South Hays 0203 2H-17XR et al? The permit was filed 12/23/2024-spud 12/31/24. There is also a Hays 3H-17X-spud 12/20/24. The 2H-17X -spud 12/19/24. They may have had trouble with the first one and filed for the R instead. Time will tell.
You can follow the filed paperwork on the OCC well records site. It will takes months to finish them.

Generally “R”=Replacement or Re-drill. As in the first well had to be abandoned and re-drilled for various reasons.

It was the first drilling that went through 3 sections.
