I’m in Texas , Ward County . What if the drilling company didn’t tell you they were gonna use the pad for an oof lease drill site ? They are the lease holders of my land .
They don’t have the right to do that. If they have done that, they are trespassing, and you have a great legal cause of action. You can shut them down unless they come to an agreement with you. Is it possible they pooled your lease - any portion of it - with the leases under the off lease well? If so, then they probably have the right to do that, but you’ll have to read your lease and apply the specific circumstances.
If I were you, I’d be sure I know all of the facts before I approached the company about this matter.
