Has anyone had experience with Paladin Land Services LLC? They just contacted me about leasing my mineral rights in McClain County. Does anyone know of activity in McClain? My ownership is in 27 08N 04W.
Log onto the regular McClain County Forum and you can find out about activity in McClain near you.
Never heard of Paladin, but that doesn't mean anything. They are probably the broker for the real operator. Newfield has quite a bit of drilling planned for 8N5W nearby.
is there any benefit to trying to work directly with the producer instead of the brokere/

I have received substantially better offers from negotiating with the producer but this may be atypical and would largely depend on your negotiating position and skill.
Thank you for your response. I may try to contact the producer in the area before signing with the broker.

There is a lot of leasing in 8n-4w . Continental started leasing in 27-8n-4w this year. In Aug. 2012 newfield offered us $400 for 3/16 in 36- 7N-4W . Continental and others have offered us $1500 for 3/16 or no cash and 1/4 in in 7n-4w ,6n -4w and 5n-4w this year . Newfield has just started the paper word for wells in 3,8,10,17,22,&27-6n-4w so they are going to kick it off in McClain Co it looks like.
We have 5 net acres, and received an offer for $800 3/16, $500 1/5, or no bonus 1/4. Ours is Section 08-08N-04W. Paladin via Continental. Would appreciate any input. Never even been to OK, and unaware of activity in this area. Thanks, WSD
I would wait on that offer for a bit. They are generally going for more in the area. There are some important horizontal wells being drilled just to the west of you by Newfield. Continental is definitely in the area. If this is the first offer, it will be low. If you are new, read up on Stephens, Garvin, Grady and McClain county forums to get caught up on the activity and strategies by folks. You probably want to negotiate some of the terms of the offer.
Working with them now -- have a lease in hand to review and modify -- will update once I get further...
