Panola County, Texas land prices

Our family has 7 acres of wooded (timber) acreage in Panola County, Texas. It had a gas well on it many years ago, and I believe a developer wants to buy it for the timber. What is the going rate per acre if we sell?

You actually have two questions there. If you own the surface and the minerals, you can sell both together or you can sell the surface and retain the minerals. If you just sell the surface, then you need to ask a knowledgeable real estate broker for the timber surface price. You would need to give the abstract and hope that someone from the Panola County area may answer for the mineral part. Try posting in Panola county.
