Payne County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Teri,

I have an interest in two of the wells on the pad in Sec6,18N,1W. They are the Hudson Sec36,T19N,R2W in Logan and the Hudson Sec 31,19N,1W in Payne. One of the landowners informed me last week that they have set 6 tanks. Are they still working on setting all of the other production equipment and connecting to the pipeline? We should be getting our DOI Orders soon. Can you tell me anything more about what is going on? Hopefully they will not flare off too much more gas. Please keep me informed. The landowner in my two sections told me that Devon is really tight lipped. Do you have any indication if all four wells on the pad are producing. Hope Devon is keeping track of all the oil they are taking away in the trucks.

Larry,

I talked to a Sunoco driver yesterday and they were taking 1 to 2 trucks out of the pad site daily, then this past week they started hauling out 6 trucks a day. But don’t know which one or how much for each section.

Seems Devon has started drilling and producing the “barn burners”.

My family has minerals in other counties where the infill drilling is more progressed, but most of the companies started off drilling test wells. Then they drilled the medium producing wells before they started drilling the wells they knew would be very good producers and ones I call “the barn burners”, because the good production excites folks like watching their barn on fire. This excitement also makes the lease bonuses go up, so that’s the reason the companies drill the best wells last.

Oil. Water is piped back to a SWD - there are now 4 frac water tanks there on the pad, perhaps they can’t handle all the salt water. But they are hauling off oil, not water.

Thanks for the info Teri. If it is possible hit the Devon pumper up for some info.

Clarke, they have started to haul oil from the pad. Teri does not if it is from our well.

Martha, May I ask what you mean by “barn burners”

Thanks,

Doug

The Long Branch 9-20-2E was completed 01/03/2014, with initial production of 208bbl and 155mcf from the Mississippian interval.

Payne: Devon Energy Production Co. LP; Long Branch 10-20N-2E No. 1WH Well; SW1/4 NW1/4 NW1/4 NW1/4 (SL) of 10-20N-02E; 434 barrels oil per day, 1,293,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 10,001.

Thanks Ron, Long Brach 09-20N-2E has a completion report filed last month, since it was drilled off the same pad you listed maybe production reports will be forth coming for it before long.

Does anyone know if there is anything being done in Sec 28, T20N, R2E
Payne County. I signed a lease about 5 mos ago with Devon. I know nothing about what happens once a lease is signed. Any info anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

They has starting filing the paper work for a well in 28 . Could still be 6 to 12 months before a check .

Thanks I did see that but haven,t seen any production reports or seen a division order. Do you have rights in that section?

Barry I could find nothing

Clarke Huffer, Teri Velega, Martha McMorries,

Good News: Devon Energy informed me this morning via an e-mail request from me yesterday that the Hudson Payne Co. 31-19N-1W had first sales of oil on 2/19/14. Devon has ordered a DOI title opinion which they indicated would be out no later than July and maybe sooner. Also, for your info the Logan Co. Husdon 36-19N-2W well is also started sales on the some date from the same pad. They would not give me production figures. As soon as they are posted to the Oklahoma Mineral Registry from the paperwork that Devon must submit to the Corporation Commission I will let everyone know.

Anybody heard on the results for Sec 9 17N 04E. It’s been producing since late Jan 2014?

Thanks Ron for the info about Sec 28, at least I know there is some movement there.

Barry, They have 30 days to submit a completion report to the OCC. Then it will take the OCC 10-45 days to review, approve, and post.

You “might” be able to find some production from sales. But, it will be a minimum of 2 months before that shows up anywhere and could be 3-4 months.

Other than packin a box lunch and a lawn chair and heading to the well. Then you can set up near by and count trucks hauling oil! lol

We have a few acres in Payne and they have been quiet for decades. We just got a lease offer in the mail for $150 per acre and 3/16 interest. It is in 33-19N-5E. I thought someone on this site could inform me if that is a fair offer. I would appreciate any advice before we sign. Thanks
