Correction, Devon is not offering to buy minerals from non surface owners in my section.

Uranium is possible and maybe why they want to server all the minerals they can.

Not heard of Nichols.

Nichols Energy is a land brokerage out of OKC.

Thanks Daniel, Nichols letter and AFE sent to me looks just like a OCC force pooling notice, because it is styled like the ones I’ve received from the OCC forced pooling other mineral interests. However, Nichols does not have the legal obligation/authority of force pooling in OK, so a mineral owner who has never been through the process of force pooling may believe this is how It is done, but it is Wrong!

Sec 28, T20N, R2E. I do not own the surface only the mineral rights. There is 40 acres, but Devon only leased 20 which I don’t quite understand. Continental gave me an explanation which I didn’t understand and that was before I found this forum.

Sandra You did not lease all your interest ?

Phillip, are you the surface owner also? Devon has been trying to buy minerals from surface owners and we are not certain why, but think it may have to do with pipeline. Devon is not offering to buy minerals from non mineral owners in my section, but have offered to buy minerals from the surface owners in my section.

Martha, this brings up another question, if the min owner signs a lease, and then later sells the minerals, does the lease not go along with the minerals? That is, is the purchaser of the minerals forced to live with the lease?

As I recall, U235 was produced more efficiently and to a greater degree in Oklahoma, more than any other location on the planet. I guess Oklahoma may be more radioactive and fused and stuff than anywhere else. Hope we don’t just dissappear into the morning fog some day. Or on the other hand, it may be a blessing. LOL

Sandra Do you know an Andrew Perkins?

I have leased the minerals to Devon and the letters are offering to purchase the mineral rights

Sandra, do you own the surface as well as the minerals?

Sandra Devon is drilling several wells in T20N range 2E I don’t know for sure about sect 28 but know they have producing wells in sec16,9,10,15,3,4 T20N R2E. I’m have rights in sec9 and was offered $2200 per acre to sell. I’m 66 and feel production will exceed revenue from a sale. Guess it depends on your need for immediate income.

Sandra Forgot to mention I have 16 acre. You didn’t mention how many acres you own. That is important.

Phillip, I’ve received an election letter from Nichols Energy claiming they are representing Devon requesting my election and they enclosed an AFE with the word devon typed across the top of the AFE. Have you heard of Nichols Energy?

Sandra There was a pooling order for 28 dated 3/20/14 . They started drilling however on Dec. 17,2013 so the well should be drilled . That is why they want to buy .

Sec 28,T20N,R2E I did lease all 40 acres they only pd a bonus for 20.

Sec 28, T20 N, R2E S Blackhurst

Thank you Ron I appreciate the info. Does the interest in buying the minerals mean that the well may be a good producer or is it total speculation on their part.

Ron sorry for late reply but what is D.O mean?
