Payne County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Go Fast, the crazies will be able to stop the massive US campaign for energy independence, but surface owners do need to know what is being placed on their land and fairly compensated for such while understanding the risk/rewards just like minerals owners need to know what is being taken from their minerals and fairly compensated for such while understanding the risk/rewards. I say drill, baby drill and love to farm, so I will continue to educate myself on the right way to do both.

Correction The Crazies will NOT be able to stop the drilling. The Hippies couldn’t do it either! LOL

Yeah, the seminars present the ‘science’ of what’s going on. They had an ag professor talking about the soil farming. He did say that unless it is high salinity, the water based mud isn’t as harmful as it used to be. He even had a chart telling how much was being paid to landowners who allowed them to spread mud. It seems like 6000#/acre was the maximum that should be put on per year.

Does anyone know what is going on in Payne- Sec. 4,5,10 all 19n 1w? I’ve had several mailings and understand they are drilling in Sec 8. It is Devon I believe. I’ve not signed a lease and haven’t been pooled. My interests are very small. I believe it encompasses sec 4 and 5. Not sure about sec. 10. I believe they are trying to vacate existing spacing orders. I have been sent offers to lease but wanted to hold off and see what the deal is. Initially I only received info on Sec 4. Yesterday had another mailing on Sec 5.

Actually I received that vacate spacing orders on sec. 4 19n 1 w yesterday not sec. 5. I received sec 5 back in April.

Jennifer, I was told Devon has drilled from 8 into 16 & 17-19N-01W and is starting to drill 8 & 5. RedFork sold10 and other sec’s to AEP, but B&W protested well locations,so legal hearings will determine 2,10, 14 and 15. AEP is up above you in 34, 35-20N-01W Noble.

Thanks for the information and link, found what I needed.

I have been offered the same terms and bonus amount as paid three years ago for 12.5 acres in section 15. Anyone familiar with the amount of bonus paid in this area? Also has anyone been successful in deleting the expense deductions section of the lease agreement or negotiated alternate language?

Joshua, what township-range do you own in? What is the going rate in your area? Thanks!

I don’t see any gas sales recorded yet.

Hello, I own minerals in Eubank 11-2WX Section11&14-17N-04E Payne County, Oklahoma my question is does anyone have a production report from this location.

G. Win If you talking about 31-18n-3e on you pooling question, they have not filed paper work for a well there yet . It would take a month or more after they started the paper work .

Thank you Rick this information clears up a lot of questions that our family had.

Can someone help me to determine if there will be 3 or 4 wells on 25-19n-2e? OCC Cause CD 201403581, there are two applications for increased density, thanks.

I had a lease offer on my mineral rights property. My attorney want some of the language about the expenses cut out. He also drafted an exhibit A to add. I talked to the landman and sent the information to him. He said that he would have to have his people look over it and get back to me. It has been 3 weeks. If the area is pooled before I sign the lease, will I not have a lease??

Does anybody know if Calyx is drilling 31-18N-3E area?

G. Win,

The pooling order takes the place of a lease if none exists.

I’ve seen some sign leases with the operator after a pooling order which resulted in less favorable terms than what the pooling ordered. Be careful if you end up in a pooling situation. You do want to make an election on the pooling order. You may or may not want to enter a lease, but you had better understand 100% what that lease does that comes during a pooling order period.
