Payne County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

So I am very new to all of this me and my other siblings have inherited 80 acres of mineral rights and I was wondering if any activity was going on here is my location. S/2 SW/4 of Section 28 Township 19 North Range 4East. I really don’t know if I have stated the location right but it is how it is written down on my lease… Pls any information would be helpful.

That is right around the location right

Yes I have it has been leased about 2 years

So how do I read the map is each section an acre sorry I am dumb to all of this

Katie,

Your section is the next section east of where they,re drilling. Just a mile away.

Each square is a section and is 640 acres. one mile square. There are 36 sections in each township . 19n-4e is the township. See the township numbers on the sides of the map. See the section number in each little square.

Calyx is drilling in sec 29 & 30 of 19n-04E

Katie here is a map that might help. Have you sign the lease ?

Thank you so much I hope eventually they drill on my section

We leased 5 partials of land in 2011. So far they’ve drilled under 3 of them due to the fact they’re all in one sec. The other two are each in different townships. It takes them a while to get everything approved throught OCC and get the site setup to drill. Cayly is the Compnay that has our leases. Their history shows a range of 225 to 931 barrels per day per well.

Thanks to Ron McKenzie for addressing my earlier question. Gold Star Land Services, on behalf of Devon Energy, is offering me a strange rate for surface damages; they’re basically asking permission to conduct a 3-D geophysical survey—I suppose the newer term for seismographing. The strange thing is they’re offering $50/parcel of land (not per acre) whether it is 1acre or 13 acres & they have guestimated the parcel sizes to be less than half of the actual size. Sounds cheap but maybe they don’t do much damage anyway. Does anyone know if this is typical or reasonable? My property is in the E/2 NW/4 Sec 17, T19N R3E

ouch !! looks like Calyx Energy twisted one off.

Does anybody know if the new lease is my section

Katie what is your section ,township & range ? ?-?n-?e. Where did you hear of a new lease ?

I will have to wait until I get back home and pull it up

I have minerals in Sec. 14, 18N, 2E. It looks looks there are some older wells in there. One is even the Milburn well. It has the initials PA after it. What does PA stand for? Thanks.

If it is 28-19n-4e there is nothing new . Looks like they may be filing for another well in 29 .

Thanks Ron! With these wells now in, I havent been contacted about them…lease, etc. Any advise??
