Clint:

Is this shallow well on the old Albert Bauer place which is just South of the Cistern Hall?

Bigfoot,

Sorry, I can't help you there. I don't live in that area. I live near Tyler, Texas. Flint, Texas to be exact.

Thanks! Since you don't live in this area, and if you are not familiar, let me add to this a little bit. This area is about 1/4 - 1/2 mile West of a little community named Cistern. This small area, which is about 1/4 mile in diameter has many little shallow wells as well as gathering tanks, etc. Most of these little shallow wells have been pumping since I was a small kid, over 50-60 years, at least. I remember two new ones being drilled right after I moved to my farm fulltime back in 1998 and they are all shallow. Most less than 1500 feet. The Catholic Church has two or three pumping on their back lawn and right near the Cemetery. Nice money source for the church. They don't pump many bbls/day; but, they keep on spitting out the crude, day after day and year after year.

Since you say you are in or near Tyler, how is the oil activity in that area? I went to college with a guy from New London over 50 years ago and he was always talking about the oil boom in that area.
