Thanks Clint for the info on the new drilling permits. It looks like there is action in Archer County for sure.
I wonder if any other royalty owners have been contacted in the TJ Moss field?

Marty,
I sure don't know about the other royalty owners. Archer County has been very active since the 1st of the year.

Right now I`d settle for a little rain. I planted a couple of acres of oats two months ago. If the fireants or birds haven`t eaten them, the seeds are still waiting for a bit of moisture.

Marty,
The stock ponds on my ranch have been dry for about 2 years now. I lived through the drought of the 50's but this is worse. And it just continues. I feel that more drilling would be taking place in Wilbarger County and the surrounding area if there was water for drilling and fracking. Good luck on getting the oats up. Did you plant them for cattle to graze on or harvesting or for the deer?

None of the above. I raise sheep and goats. I`m putting out hay every day but they eat it like popcorn. I need to save the hay for next spring when I`m having kids. I`m sure if I had any pasture that the deer would be grazing. This is the second dry year and I`m beginning to lose trees now.
If you remember the dry 1950`s do you remember all the rats in the fields during that time? As a young teen we used to go "rattin" for sport. That`s when I developed my shooting skill. Crazy young kids.
We have a few clouds. Maybe we`ll get a shower tomorrow.

Marty,
My brother and I were talking about all the rats just a few days ago. We had the ole longtail rats that we called kangaroo rats. 10-4 on the rain.
"I need to save the hay for next spring when I`m having kids"----Marty are you having kids or is it the sheep and goats having kids??? Just thought we needed to clarify that statement.
