Permit issued, but not with our signed company

Location: Harrison county, WV Last year we were approached by Eastern Gas Transmission. They informed us that there an old mineral rights contract on the property, that they were working on getting a permit to drill, sign an updated lease agreement or be pooled, blah blah. We did and got a small benefit. I just found out that a permits has been issued to Diversified Production LLC and the proposed well seems to go across our property. I’m trying to determine

  1. if I’m correct and
  2. if so, can this new company do so without notifying us
  3. What are our options? I’ve attached a couple of screenshots for reference. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Very common. No, they do not have to notify you unless that clause is in your lease contract. Many operators hire leasing agents to lease for them and then transfer the lease to them. Also, many operators have additional working interest partners in a well and you may have leased with one of the partners. The operator has to abide by your lease. I wouldn’t worry about it.
