Is anyone aware of leasing activity in this area? Sec 34 Blk 34 Ward Co My family has minerals under this tract and someone from Pioneer Natural Resources has reached out to one of my sisters regarding a lease. I will be hopefully talking to them soon and was just curious if anyone else has been involved in recent leasing in this area. What bonus and royalty is common to this area?
I have now talked with a landman from Pioneer and they are interested in leasing our minerals if they are not HBP by shallow production (our interest is in all depths below shallow production). Their title department is checking on lease status. He shared that they plan to test/develop the Barnett Shale which is apparently not currently producing in this immediate area. Is anyone else familiar with Barnett Shale production in this area?
