Pipeline via Colorado

I have been told by family members that our oil is pipe lined to Colorado, refined and then sold on the open market. After having a fire in my fields then put on the "IA" list I got my first check from Halcon/HRC last month (a tiny little check i might add) . So, now my question is If it is in fact refined in CO. and I am watching World News and there are many Oil spills due to the Flooding. How do I know if this affects me or how do i find out if it will effect me??

Williston,

I can't confirm that your oil is being refined in Colorado but do know that the spills you read about are at specific wells from the huge Wattenburg Field in Weld/Morgan counties and within the flood plan of the South Platte River. The Refinery near Denver is not close to the flooded area. BTW Billings and SE Wyoming Refineries are much closer to Williams County than Denver.

So basically you are saying you don't know the answer??? But, you do know the names of a couple of other refineries??? Thanks for your input Gary.
