Plugged or Producing

Does anyone know what the term plugged or producing means on the daily report for the NDIC ? Seems like a strange category for those two terms to be together,

Yes it does seem to be an odd combination. Though that is just a way of stating that the drilling activity on a well has finished.

Although drilling is finished, with this "plugged or producing" report the company either doesn't yet know (still awaiting fracking), or doesn't want to publicly state yet, just how that well turned out.
