Pooling for s23 18n 5w in kingfisher Co

Happily I have an interest in this section. What I am confused by is the fact that the property was originally leased in 1968 and I have been receiving royalty payments, small but continuing, on the acreage. I do not understand why I am shown as Having active involvement in the Pooling. I am having to assume that the target of the pool was not included in the original lease but I do not have the documents to define this. Is this the kind of thing that I can research through the Internet or with a local Landman? Are there any suggested firms or individuals that I could hire to research this? I have what I think is all historical documents including the initial lease; however, my reading of the lease is silent on this issue.

All suggestions will be Appreciated!

Your Pooling Order should give you contact information as to their internal landman handling the Pooling Order for that section. You should be able to contact him direct and discuss your concerns. If you don't see it within your paperwork then contact the attorney listed on the order that represents the Operator. They will give you contact information. I didn't see any wells that were producing on that section since December 2015. All show to either be plugged and abandoned or inactive so it's best you contact the Operator's Landman to see if they think your lease is still good or if they want to negotiate a new lease with you. Good luck!

thanks for your input. I am pursuing the contact folk on the pooling order. Also, FYI there are 2 producing wells from the Mississippian on the 1/4 section I have interest in -- SMITH1 with first production reported 5/3/67 and AYERS1 with first production reported 7/9/82. No big hits but very long lasting.
