we have been pooled in section 21 6n 6w. We are still under an old lease with Chesapeake . we are not listed in the mineral owners for the pooling ,has any one been paid bonus money and are we entitled to this or having the old lease keeping us from this. this old well was put in the early 70"s and production has fallen off to near nothing, should we be listed on the pooling order is my question. any help on this would be helpful.
That’s a great question! Those of us that have old wells, barely producing and all this new activity in the same area, how does that affect our current well? 11-6-7 was an old well limited to 7000 ft. We leased for a New well with Camino which is for below 7000 feet. Will our checks go up from the old wells once production starts?
Bruce…since you were not named in the pooling then you are probably held by your old lease and will not receive a bonus. You might check your lease to determine if it has any depth clauses in it. Otherwise you will only receive production checks from the new well. Terisalou…Since your old lease has a depth clause or restriction in it and you were able to lease to another company for the deeper depths your check could change. Your old well will continue without any difference. A different lease on the deeper depths only effects production on the new well, not the old. Hopefully you increased your royalty on the new lease.
Thank you Darla! Still waiting on production for the new lease. Nothing yet. I sent you a PM.
