I'm really not up on all this, can anyone tell me what it means by stating Pooling (gains unit) see exhibit B. Dodd Co?
And where we might find how many acres are involved in our surrounding acreage included in the pooling? I guess the above means they have started pooling.
My mother's family have 141 acres of Oil and Gas rights.
Thank you
Something to do: go here WV Office of Oil and Gas permits search and put in Doddridge for the county and gains
I found 2 permit numbers, 017-06395 Gains Unit 1H and 017-06396 Gains Unit 2H
Then go here WV GES Batchinfo for Doddridge and look for these numbers. For each, I found a plat where you can see the properties that are included. You can print these and the other documents. I think there is a way, not sure exactly how, to get info on the royalty owners from the WV Office of Oil and Gas.
Yes Cindy it is. If you are able to find these things and have more questions please ask. And read as much as you can.
Nancy,
How do you search on the site?
http://downloads.wvgs.wvnet.edu/BatchInfo/doddridge/
I was doing a find with my web browser. I clicked on quite a few links, then gave up? I am normally pretty tech savvy, but I missed it? =)
The blue number to the right are API numbers for permits and wells. The first numbers 47 are for WV. The next three 017 are for Doddridge. Starting with 00001 the last five numbers are an accession number for the permit. The latest I saw today was for 066XX (didn’t write the last numbers down, am on phone so can’t go back now). There is a series of numbers 470173XXXX for plugged wells. Then another series 470177XXXX for old wells, pre 1929 when they started using API numbers.
You might need a plug in to see some of the links. Not all the numbers will be there but all the recent ones are.
Hope that helps.
You can go to the base site for the West Virginia Geologic and Economic Survey and hunt areund. There is some info there on these things.
That explanation helped. Although none of the four wells I found on the https://apps.dep.wv.gov/oog/wellsearch_new.cfm site were listed. At least I know that the fourth one is in Wood County. I had suspected that. sorry to hijack your post Cindy!
