So does anyone have an idea what wells are producing in the Barnett shale? The TRRC information is old. I can’t find any production figures newer than a year. I don’t know if this is a strategy of the oil companies or what. I’m talking mostly about oil production. I know it varies, but what I see at the Trrc on older wells is not much. Maybe 700 to 1500 barrells a month. Occasionally there is a well producing more.
Attached is quickie download from DrillingInfo.com for Barnett oil wells in Newark Basin area.
Slghtly under 1000 active "oil" wells.
Attached listed is sorted as to avg BOPD for latest producing month (June 2013). Averages max in the 30-35 BOPD range.Note the details contained in the listing.
DI gets all this info from Tx RRC
2316-BarnettShaleActiveOilWellsJune2013.pdf (2.28 MB) 2317-BarnettShaleActiveOilWellsJune2013ListingsortedbyAvgBOperday.pdf (249 KB)Thanks Przzz. What is Prac. IP? Also I don’t suppose anyone has this in a ex cell format so I can sort it? I will look at drilling info also.
The wells that I have an interest in are in Montague county and mostly produce LNG which sells for around 25 a barrel. Around 1300 LNG barrels a month consistently. Not a lot of oil is being produced from those wells…maybe a few hundred barrels per month.
Practical IP is the first month of production divded by number of days in that month. Can be very misleading if there are only a few days of production in that month.
