I have been asked to provide an attorney’s view regarding probate, inheritances, trusts, etc. at the upcoming Oklahoma Chapter of NARO. Just wanted to see if there were questions or topics that would be of interest to attendees.

Hey Richard, problem that I probably see most often is conveying minerals after death without probate. What are some solutions to solve this? Most folks want to convey as cheaply as possible. Especially when there are small interests that make a probate not really cost-effective.

Thanks for the question. I plan to talk on Transfer on Death Deeds as well as Trusts. Both avoid probate. There are pros and cons with each.
