I've signed a lease with Range resources in PA-Washington County. -
Range says they don't sign their leases therefore I cannot get a copy of the lease with a Range signature- how do you have a legal and business agreement where I sign in good faith and Range doesn't sign the lease or give me a copy with their signature. Has anyone had similar experience?
Earl, as explained by RW Kennedy in your previous post on this subject. Your 'business agreement' is finalized by your signature on the lease and them paying you the negotiated lease bonus. Signature or no signature by them, as long as they pay you there is nothing illegal with the agreement. It is not uncommon for oil companies not to sign a lease themselves. In fact, the majority do not.
I don't know about Pennsylvania, but it is very rare to see a lease signed by the Lessee in Oklahoma. I'd say less that one in a thousand.
