I have an interest in the Shelbyville Texas gas field…it’s a 21,000 acre field. When it was bought out in 2015 it had several wells on it and we were not in the pool…in 2021 we were leased and signed ratification papers…we have only been being paid for wells started at ratification signing. We just received a new set of ratification papers to sign wanting to clarify that we only get money from wells from our original signing date, not from any wells producing before that date. Has anyone heard of maybe someone sued and got money from those original wells? Or does anyone know if a great oil and gas attorney for Texas that can navigate this for us?
