Recent activity of leased property

I leased the mineral rights that my Mother inherited from a Civil War land grant last August. It was leased through Hoover and Stacy. I was told that I could monitor the status of any exploration in that area on the WYOGCC website. The property is is 32 North, 68 West in section 11. From what I can see there seems to be some activity nearby. I live in Pennsylvania and am quite new to all of this. If anyone has any suggestions on the best way to get up to date information I would appreciate it.

How long did you grant the lease for? You really won't have much luck getting up to date information, anything of relevance is often sealed as confidential. I hope you were treated well on sign-on bonus and royalty rate by the lease hounds. Do you know which company they leased it for? Hoover and Stacy are lease hounds for the big oil and gas companies.

It is a five year lease. I believe the oil company was Anadarko originally but had read somewhere that Warren had bought out the Wyoming holdings. Not sure how to find that out for sure either. I did have lease attorney assist me with the contract. It is only about eight acres and from what I can see there appears to be exploratory activity nearby.

Ray, Thanks for the info. I just double checked my lease contract and there is a (3/16th) royalty provision. Do you know how long the Oil Company can keep information sealed?
