We have a small royalty interest in the Southeast Breckenridge Field in Stephens County that various firms have offered to buy from time to time over the years, usually for only a relatively small amount, usually not more than the equivalent of a few years' worth of royalty income.
However, recently we have received an offer of many times that amount, and I'm wondering what is going on there than might account for such an increase in interest and offer.
Any new shale play, or new production depths, or new production methods that might account for this development? Or could the offer simply be a mistake?
Any info will be appreciated.
