Recommendations for Oklahoma landman?

I’m finally getting an estate probate filed for my mother’s will in McClain County, and it will be followed by a mineral deed.

However, the probate just includes a basic property description list, and doesn’t include royalty or mineral interest percentages for the various mineral rights owned in their respective sections.

I’m not sure what exactly the mineral deed would provide over and above the probate, but I was told it would be best to hire a landman to do a thorough check/analysis of those properties for this extra data, which could be used to verify interest percentages in Division Orders, etc.

Does anyone know of a reputable landman in Oklahoma that’s willing to do the work for someone living in Indiana?

You can do some preliminary work yourself for free. www.okcountyrecords.com is a great place to get started. Start with her name and work backwards to see where she got her minerals (spouse, parent, grandparent, maiden name, etc.) and you may find the exact descriptions of the acreage. It is free to look and has a small fee to print. I used the Advanced Search option if the general search is not as helpful.
