Curious about wells drilled in the area.

My family owns mineral rights in Carter County section 6 Range, Township 4S, Range 1 E. There was a well across the meridian in either section 6 4S 1 W or section 36 T3S R1W. I remember seeing the rig there on a visit and my dad told me that he had heard that they had stuck drill pipe and had to cut off. Not sure when that was. Probably late 1990’s. If I knew how to look it up, i would. No idea who the operator or drilling company was.We leased to Continental via Bearcat in 2015. They supposedly ran a seismic survey. Continental let the lease expire. Any help appreciated.

@James_Bridges, there is a well just across the Meridian in 1-4S-01W. API 35-019-20773, but it was plugged in 1971. No other wells in the area that I could see in the records. The operator at the time gave an apartment address in Oklahoma City… suspect they are no longer there.

Thanks for the input. I did not realize it had been that long. I had not lived in the area for a long time.My dad lived in Ardmore and I would come for a visit and we would drive out to the acreage. After he passed, all the cousins sold surface but kept minerals.

James Bridges I saw you were from Ardmore. You may have known my aunt depending on your age. Her name was Mary Barker. She taught high school there for many years. I hope it’s ok to post this.
