When the CC grants only an approximate amount of recoverable oil on a increased density relief request does the production stop when the operator reaches that amount?
Those are only estimates of recoverables over the life of the well(s). The amount allowed per well in a certain time period is called the “allowable” and is set to keep the reservoir producing at a “healthy” rate versus an “all out and kill it for everyone” rate. They learned from their mistakes in the early days of production many decades ago. Most operators will produce the well(s) as long as it is economic to do so (and sometimes a bit past that.) They want the revenue as much as the mineral owner does!
