My parents own acreage in Reeves County. In 2021 the land appraisal value for taxes jumped over 500% according to: www.reevescad.org

Welcome to the club. Our taxes for 57 acres of rough undeveloped land south of Toyah went up from about $60/year to over $2000. Pretty much the story for everyone.
Thanks for the comment - I’m guessing you don’t have any insight as to why? It seems there must be some legal middle ground between 0 and 500% increase in appraisal valuation overnight?
