Kreg

Thanks very much

your video is a great help

Kreg – have you paid much attention on the GLO/GIS Map Viewer?

Buzz - I’ve looked at it and like the look and feel of it, but the lack of being able to identify a well and all its related info is too lacking for me. If that info is there somewhere…let me know.

Kreg – I’m no expert on navigating the GLO/GIS Map Viewer… but I’m told landmen are really impressed, for their purposes at least.

I recommend trying the “?” button in the middle of the upper toolbar to select one of several “Instructional Videos”. I continue to be surprised with what it can do and use it in conjunction with the RRC GIS map. Later – Buzz

Clayton Williams - only 2 new drilling permits this month… Zzzzzzzz… come on CWE - get it in gear! Thompson Cleo is kicking your butts

FYI

My family owns 2-3 sections south of I10 8+ miles east of Balmorhea.

I have just learned that Forest Oil has leased land just to the north, east and south of our property–in other words, there is now a large hole in the land they are leasing.

I hope this means that our property will go up in value as Forest explores the surrounding land.

Talked to a good friend of mine that does field land work for Clayton Williams. He said that their total land staff in Reeves County is down to 12.

Buddy - please clue us in - what does that mean? I assume it means the leasing efforts are slowing down. Then again - they already leased a lot of land in the area…

Looking for any others with recent lease offers in the Ligon Ranch area, block c3 sections 1367 and 1180 near Pecos.

First interest since last lease expired in 2003. Coming from newly formed Evergreen natural Resources out of Midland. (same people as Tres Canyon Resources and Slb Land Services).

Offering 400 / acre, 3 year with 21.5 Royalties, with ridiculous endless shut in clause. Anyone else getting offers in area and appreciate comments on the listed terms they are offering.

JW - your PSL Blk 57-T3-44 is 32.3 miles NW of Pecos/11.7 miles SSW of Orla. I see Resolute Natural Resources received 4 vertical permits in Jun 2011 in PSL Blk C21, Secs 13-14-16 & 18 about 30-31 miles NW of Pecos.
I did not find that any of these wells were completed. Later – Buzz

Bob – Sections 1367 andf 1180 are actually Abstract Numbers for Block C3, Sections 1 and 12, respectively… located about 21.5 miles southeast of Pecos.

I recently joined and have added this photo. I recognize some names of other members. I left Pecos after graduating in 1957. My siblings are Phil, Barbara , and Cindy.

Steve Johnson - My mother graduated I think about that time. Jan Hudspeth. I dont know if you knew her or not. My gandfather owned a local mechanics garage - Chester Hudspeth. I remember as a child eating at AL’s Hambuger stand - best chile and frito burger around. Going to Wackers Dept store was a awesome visit for me. My grandparents lived by the water tower on Bois D Arc street. Pecos will always a great childhood memory for me. Running around the cotton fields with the loud ass irrigation pumps screaming away…

I’m in with Comstock near Verhalen on the Pistola verticle wells. #1 a wolfcamp only well, but #2 is a wolfbone well. Big difference in the IP rates. Looking forward to the possibility of a horizontal well.

Scotsy, I’ll probably aim for $1,000 & 1/4th Plus my addendum which is pretty comprehensive. Good luck to you on your minerals!

Clayton Williams has left a message offering $750 & 1/4th for 20 acres. I’m in C-7 PSL (A-5261), Section 26. it’s SE of Pecos and by Toyah Lake (not town of Toyah). I see mostly $1,000/ac in Reeves County, one for $2,000 and am still sifting through old posts. Any thoughts from ya all would certainly be appreciated.

JW - I see on Jun 5, 2011 where Resolute Natural Resources applied for a vertical well permit, Meeker 18 #6, PSL Blk C21, Sec 18, 30 miles NW of Pecos. Your PSL Blk 57-T3-44 is about one mile north of that section. Later – Buzz

I was told by members in this group that the going rate is $1000/acre w/ 1/4 % royalty. I haven’t been contacted yet but sure hope to be! I am in Section 2, Block 55.

CORRECTION: JW - make that Jun 5, 2012… sorry 'bout that! Later – Buzz

Charles, I have not posted my addendum. It varies from lease to lease but I have a few things I always include such as limiting liability to actions by me and only by me and vertical Pugh Clauses. Sometimes Horizontal Pugh and other clauses depending on the tract.
