Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Following along since I posted a question about a recent offer I received, I am getting the impression that any lease bonus offer of under say 750 / acre in Reeves county is considered unacceptable ?? Or is it just selected blocks ?

Ann - “Scotsy, I’ll probably aim for $1,000 & 1/4th Plus my addendum which is pretty comprehensive.”

Addendum? I must have missed something. Have you posted a link to your addendum? All I have is an addendum covering surface damage and made up by a landman for ConocoPhillips in connection with a proposed lease that hasn’t yet been signed.

Bob My name is also Bob One time I had a plumber tell me that if your name is Bob that just means your old But to your point I have land as far south as just south of I10 that is not leased and I have heard that anything under $750 is unacceptable even to the State Take care

Very glad to hear Petrohawk is working NW of Pecos!!

There’s hope yet!

We have land leased with Petrohawk about 19 miles NW of Pecos. I just noticed on the RRC site Petrohawk has submitted 4 approvals for drilling, 3 of which are 10-12 miles SW of Pecos and 1- 7 miles NW of Pecos. Sure hope they go further W of Pecos, and good luck to those that are SW of Pecos.

no it is Blk 54 Township 4 sec 30 & sec 38 I belive we are north of Pecos

Anyone know of any activity in Blk 54 T4 Reeves county

Phyllis – would that be T&P Blk 54, Township 7, Sec. 4, Abstract No. A-4628 located ~14.8 miles SW of Pecos? Later – Buzz

Anyone have any info about Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR) or Initial completion data for wells 3 to 5 miles west or northwest of Pecos?

Hello again. I was offered $1500 an acre with a 25% royalty. Is this a good offer for this area? Also, I have seen the term PAR on the forum. What does that mean? Thank you for the responses and the help.

Cynthia, where is your land located? I looked back in this thread, but didn’t see a description of it anywhere.

N/M, I just found it…very active around you. Assume it is PetroHawk?

Historically $1,500 is excellent, but maybe others know of recent leasing in the immediate area.

So what are you thinking about the offer? It’s not too shabby, for sure IMO.

FYI - Later – Buzz

We are in Block 57 Sections 44 & 46 Township 3 and we leased to Petrohawk in Sept. 2011 for $2000 and 25%.

Thank you, Kenneth.

We are in Block 58 Sections 15 and 16 Township 5 (according to the GLO map) and we leased to PetroHawk in March for $1250-3 years-25%. I would say $1500 is good. We were offered that amount in the previous fall and didn’t take it, looking for a better offer. OOPS. Goofed.

Hi Stephen. I believe it is Eagle Oil and Gas, according to the gentleman that is handling the lease.

After looking over the forum a bit, it seems like the offer is a good one. But I have zero experience with mineral rights, so I’m just flying by the seat of my pants here. I will have an oil and gas attorney look it over. What does IMO stand for?

In My Opinion…IMHO…In My Humble Opinion
