Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Fred – your PSL BLK C18, SEC 4 is located 10.9 miles WSW of Pecos, about one mile north of I-20, adjoining Shanthi’s land to your west. Later – Buzz.

What is that LINK that Buzz gave?

Thanks… Danny

Oh, just read Buzz’s post so assume you found a map online.

Ann i have not found the kind of map i was hunting, looking for county map that lists the section numbers, tks.for the response

Billy – the link provided below should do the trick… click ‘Agree’ and then keep double-clicking on Reeves until you zero-in on your location. Eventually the surveys/blocks/townships/sections appear. (You may need to give it time to load. Hope this helps. Later – Buzz

PS - FWIW, even landmen marvel at how much info is on that General Land Office free map link.

Linton – Re: ==> Buzz, I didn’t understand your property description to Shanthi, i.e. “about 11-1/2 mile SSW of Pecos, about a mile north of I-20.” That didn’t make any sense to me.<==

Hey Linton… once you pointed it out… it didn’t make sense to me either… try 11-1/2 miles WSW of Pecos, about a mile N of I-20… sorry 'bout that! Later – Buzz

Buzz or anyone with information, Does anyone know if there is activity on section1 or 4? drilling or pipelines? Thank you

Appreciate your response

Shanthi

Buzz, Thanks for the info. The Cottonmouth 58-47 was the one I was hoping that would have a strong outcome/outgo. The chances for our land might have been better.

Marie

Shanthi,

We did not use one. We worked with Kerr Drilling who sold the lease to Petrohawk.

Fred

Thanks Buzz, found it on the map you provided. No activity indicated. They do not have it marked as leased either.

thanks for the map info found the location section fifteen blk.50

Buzz and et.al There is a well that has been drilled adjacent to our property. The well is 389 33174, We followed it on rig zones "locations and operators " weekly report. The last time it was tracked was the final week in November. Given your history when will we see completion reports and 30 day ip reports from Petrowhawk? Thanks K

==< The well is 389 33174, We followed it on rig zones "locations and operators " weekly report. The last time it was tracked was the final week in November. >==

Kerry – RigData’s “Locations & Operators” weekly reports show the Petrohawk HEAGNEY 4-48 #1H well (A-1380), 6.2 miles W (very slightly WSW) of Pecos was spudded 10-23-12 and was last tracked w/e 11-30-12, so we agree on the facts. I’m sorry, but I have no idea whatsoever when Petrohawk will release the information you desire. They’ve drilled ~30 wells in Reeves since May 2011 and I have yet to see one iota of production information other than where a joint venture partner (Energen) in 3 wells released some results in a quarterly earnings conference call. However, I do know they are very active installing oil-gas-water-electric infrastructure in the area 8-11 mile NW of Pecos. Later – Buzz

Marie – part was cropped. Later – Buzz

Buzz,

I visited with you last Feb/March while in the leasing process. As far as your note to Kerry below, do you recall the Block/Sections that Energen/Petrohawk released information on quarterly earning were disclosed?? Curious, as there was a joint venture 6 miles south of ours. Block 58 Sections 15 and 16. Thanks Marie

Marie – the 3 wells involved: (vertical) 32939 T&P 57-T3-4 STATE DIAMONDBACK 57-4 1 6.2 SW of Orla A-2465 (horizontal) 33058 PSL 58-47 COTTONMOUTH 58-47 1 6.1 NNW of Toyah A-1530 (horizontal) 32809 PSL C19-15 STATE 19-15 2 10.6 NW of Pecos A-5233 Supposedly, there’re planning 3 offsets, but not to the well NNW of Toyah. Again, all the information from Energen public statements/presentations. Later – Buzz

Shanthi,

Correction. KEW drilling has my lease.

Anyone know how to correct the name label on the GLO site for a piece of land?

r / Fred

Shanthi,

I am not an attorney. Best of luck on your property though.

Fred, I know you are a oil and gas attorney, I found out just now that the man who sold the property in Reeves county to me has been dishonest, wonder how I could find someone who could help me out. My email address is [email protected]

Shanthi

I feel like a detective. Our lease was from my maternal grandmother who told us she had sold it…not the case as you have seen. In looking at the original deed, the lease was in 1956 that established the Sinclair oil and gas co. with 3 men, including my grandfather. He changed his ownership to my grandmother in 1965. As I am in CA, I am thinking I will eventually have to go to Pecos. I could use any help on the following:
