Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Buzz -muchas gracias. i’ll keep yall posted. mike

Ria – I just noticed you are a long-time member of our group. Petrohawk moved the Nabors M45 rig off the Rolwing 23 #1H well 9 miles northwest of Pecos where it is now drilling the Herrington well south of Mike Brewer referenced below. Might you be under the Rolwing well? If so, please give us some results when available.

Buzz - thank you for the info. i will check it out. Meanwhile yes, we did receive an offer of 1000 per acre lease bonu,3yr. w/2yr. option, and 25% on that propetty. this is the best offer yet for us but there is not yet a consensus among the several other landowners of this 304 ‘undivided acres’ ownership. As we speak they (others) are seeking a revision on the contract proposal re: surface damages and water rights - i dont yet understand it all. the news you share is exciting , that they are drilling so close to us. ? what is a ‘spudded well’ mean? any info i have to share from my experience as it unfolds i will gladly share with the forum. you all have been my best source of reliable , objective information and contact. thanks mike

Dear J. Matthews,

The easiest way to determine Mineral Classified Lands is to check with the General Land Office.

Texas General Land Office Sale: There are 9 tracts around Toyah totaling ~2,000 acres in PSL Blocks 70, 71 & 72 in the sale. All have a minimum bids of $1,000/acre and 25% Royalty: http://www.glo.texas.gov/what-we-do/energy-and-minerals/oil_gas/indhttp://www.glo.texas.gov/what-we-do/energy-and-minerals/_documents/… Later – Buzz

FYI…Williams Energy just had a permit approved to drill on one of our sections…abstract A-2783, Section 20 block 51-8. I’ll let everyone know what happens as we hear more.

FWIW, we accepted a five year lease, 25% royalty, $1200 per acre in the area called Anderson Ranch on the rrc map - abstract A-3488, Blk 2, Section 38, H&GN RR survey. The original offer was for $500 per acre. Drill, baby, drill … or frac, baby, frac … I’m not particular one way or the other. ; )

I’m sorry … there was a typo in that post. The final price per acre was $1500, not $1200.

Thanks Buddy.

I’ll look into that.

Has anyone heard how CWEI has been in Reeves county?

Re: my Sept. 25th post below, Texas General Land Office Sale: NONE of the tracts near Toyah received minimum bids.

40 rigs active in Reeves County last week!

Does it seem to anyone else here that the north end of the county, around Orla is lagging in activity in the Wolfbone/Avalon?

Once you get past through the silly intro there’s lots of links for info.

I discovered that the email links within different sections will get you a response from department directors within a day or two.

That may be the best option.

You would need an agreement with the operator through your lease form. If nothing else, you might try talking to someone at the office of the operator in the land department. See if he/she might network you in.

I’m “ignorant”…what is the GLO, please?

I would contact the GLO for information & advice.

They have a tight reign on the petro-drilling and should be able to tell you exactly how to deal with this.

PSL C-19, Section 6 is located approximately 10 miles north-northwest of Pecos. Petrohawk is actively drilling in that area.

On that GLO site (neat) – using the “Original Texas Land Survey Map” option – PSL C-19, Section 6 appears as “State A-4048”.

can anyone tell me the location of section 16 block c-19 thanks
