Reeves county

Does anyone know if anything new is going on in this section of Reeves County. My property is N/3 of E2 of sect 1 block 54 T 7s I don’t live in the area and I would like some connections to a company that can lease or even sell my property at a decent price.

Maxidar: in the very North part of Section 1 and ending in Section 2 there are 2 horizontal wells(389-36307 and 36308) that were spud(begin drilling)in Jan. & May 2018. I find no completion report or other info at this time. NBL Permian LLC is the operator.

Also there is a well(389-33169)that was drilled by Clayton Williams that was completed in 2012 and is now a shut-in-well…I suspect there was major problems with that well. No production reported on this well.

In the Southern part of Section 1 and ending in Section 2 are 3 permitted locations. Well 389-35935/35936/36273 were spud May and September of 2017. The operator of these wells is NBL Permian LLC. I find no completion report or other info on these 3 wells at this time per the RR Commission website.

A few names of operators/oil companies in the area of Section 1 are: NBL Permian, Centennial Resource Production LLC, Noble Energy, Upcurve Operating Corporation, and WPX Energy Permian LLC.

This link will take you to the Texas RR Commission oil and gas operator directory.

Thanks Clint. What is a shut in well. How do I know if I have minerals on the property. Do you know anyone I can contact to rent or sell my property? .

What was in the well? Sorry it sounds sill to ask but I am not sure .

Thank you Clint . Do you have anyone who can tell what my property is worth? Leasing or selling?

Although the well is shut-in I’m sure you can market the minerals for a decent price.

Maxidar and Clint - The wells on those sections are Noble’s Black Cobra wells. Production reports on the southern wells show they are producing very nicely and have been for several months. The northern wells are just coming online. August production showed one well produced 15,464 barrels of oil and the other 25,073 barrels. There was gas production as well, of course.

It looks as if you definitely have valuable property, Maxidar. :grinning:

Liz…Thanks for the help on those wells. I couldn’t find that info on RR Commission website…you must have a subscription to Drillinginfo.com or some other…

Thanks again,

Don’t have a subscription to Drillinginfo - wish I could afford one! But I do regularly check this link for certain wells or producers:

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/PR/initializePublicQueriesMenuAction.do

The oil companies may put off posting production in some places, but they have to file with the state for tax purposes in a timely manner! That info is usually available around the first of the month.

I keep an eye on well production in the areas near our properties. We have property (unleased) a few miles to the west of Maxidar’s.

Thanks Liz…I’ll check out that link.

My thoughts are that she should keep these minerals unless she needs the money and if possible only sell a portion and retain the rest…and there are some good wells in the surrounding area.
